Determine a Theme
You may be thinking that New Year’s Eve is enough of a theme for your event, but that’s not necessarily the case. It’s a good idea to specify a particular theme for your event so that your guests know what to expect and have an idea of what they should wear. For example, if you want to host a fancy dinner party to welcome the new year, you may want to suggest a black tie theme so that everyone arrives in their very best. On the other hand, you may want to start 2019 on a more fun and festive note, in which case you may ask your guests to come dressed in their funniest hats or most outrageous sunglasses.
Keep Decorations Simple
